Facebook 的作法完全合理，而且他也沒佔便宜，只是非標題這般危言聳聽。

React.js 的授權有二：著作權及專利權 。簡言之，React.js 使用者可自動獲得 Facebook 授權的著作權及專利權，其中專利權屬額外授權 (Additional Grant)。

在專利授權聲明中明言：若您及您相關企業，(i) 針對 Facebook 及其相關企業，(ii) 或造成任何他人對於使用 Facebook 的軟體、技術、產品或服務，(iii) 或任何使用本軟體 (React.js) 的人，發動直接或間接專利侵權訴訟時，則 Facebook 將自動撤銷 React.js 賦與給您的專利使用權。

The license granted hereunder will terminate, automatically and without notice,
if you (or any of your subsidiaries, corporate affiliates or agents) initiate
directly or indirectly, or take a direct financial interest in, any Patent
Assertion: (i) against Facebook or any of its subsidiaries or corporate
affiliates, (ii) against any party if such Patent Assertion arises in whole or
in part from any software, technology, product or service of Facebook or any of
its subsidiaries or corporate affiliates, or (iii) against any party relating
to the Software. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if Facebook or any of its
subsidiaries or corporate affiliates files a lawsuit alleging patent
infringement against you in the first instance, and you respond by filing a
patent infringement counterclaim in that lawsuit against that party that is
unrelated to the Software, the license granted hereunder will not terminate
under section (i) of this paragraph due to such counterclaim.

也就是說，若你對 Facebook 或其裙帶關係發動專利攻擊，Facebook 沒道理白站著挨打，而是先撤銷 React.js 先前免費賦與給你的專利權利後，再對簿公堂。畢竟發動專利戰爭的是你，Facebook 把專利權收回來實屬合理，否則對他並不公平。

另，因專利權是額外授權，撤銷專利權不代表撤銷著作權 (注意，著作權與專利權寫成兩份不同的文件)，所以 Facebook 仍同意讓您繼續使用 React.js 的著作權。
